About Classics

Classics on Main opened in 2000 and is operated by Chris and Karen Hale. Featured is Barnhill Britt Furniture which represents an outgrowth of the efforts started by furniture maker Darwin Britt in 1981 and continued by John Barnhill in 1995.

The furniture crafted by Barnhill Britt features classic straight-forward designs and is constructed from antique longleaf pine with traditional joinery and finishing techniques. The craftsmen are skilled in cabinet making techniques and recognize the need for each signature piece to be constructed to exacting standards.

Classics also features local and international artists in painting, wood turning, glass blowing, pottery, carving, basketry, and weaving.
